Looking into some wave makers for my 40g breeder. I was highly considering a MP10. But I am also wondering if I’m better off getting 2 more affordable ones so I can have one on each end. Budget is about 400$. I have a lot of rock in there with quite the cave systems for my fish. I wanna say about 50lbs. The way it’s stacked should allow for good flow. In focusing on LPS corals for future additions. I would like to try one SPS toward the top of this tank for experience but not sure if I’m going to even bother as I see a much larger tank in the near future. No matter what I plan on keeping this together tho for soft corals and LPS as well as some fish.

I use a pair of icecap gyres in my 40 breeder, plus the return flow, and I have a jebao powerhead behind my rocks. You have a lot of rock, so you need good flow to push the water through all that. Hyyger and Jebao make good quality lower priced powerheads, jebao also has gyres. Its very hard to suggest powerheads bacause there are so many of them, I suggest to shop around, sorry I am not a better help

I was reading that before I posted. That’s where I got the idea I may be better with 2. But it left me with placement questions still. For now I’m going to start with one on the outlet side to keep flow going one direction I think. I ordered a MP10 this morning. I really wanted to keep the wires out of the tank for a cleaner look. If need be I’ll add another on the other side in a couple months. Hopefully I made a good choice. There’s so much to take in and everyone offers different advice. I generally go with what I feel is right and so far I know I’ve broken some general rules but everything is doing okay for me. It’s definitely been a learning curve. I have had fresh for years and recently took my fresh to “high tech” as well. My poor brain is struggling with all the input lol
