I'm trying to plan out my Black Friday list and I need a wave maker for a 60 gallon cube that will be a mixed reef with a few SPS at the top. Would 1 RP-M or QP-16 plus be enough to not have any dead spots or will I need 2 pumps pointed toward each other?

Hi,

I use 2 x RPMs for my 60 cube, 1 was just enough for most of the tank but left some areas with less than desirable flow. I usually recommend 2 pumps for any tank over about 25-30 gallons.

2 x RPMs on the back wall, or 2 x QP-9+ one on either side will work well.

The 16 is too big for any tank under 150 gallons, they're serious pumps.
