My wave maker seems to be very strong.. Whatever placement I put it in it destroys my live sand, it basically makes 1 part no sand lol, my filter even gets some of the sand as well.. I'm using a 20 gallon hex, is there anything super slow for this tank ?

It doesn't look as bad on the video but maybe re-arranging your scape? What are your plans on this tank?

Yeah I will rearrange them and break some rocks.. TO be honest the placing before the powerhead was fine... then I moved it now it's doing that :(
My plans ? when cycled 2 reg clowns, 1 pistol shrimp, 1 goby, a few easy to care corals. Skimmer will be placed 2 weeks before the cycle ends then when corals are in I'll invest with the LEDs

well the good news is it the knock off and itll lose half its power in a week or two. mine did.
you can also rubberband some plastic a sponge or beer can to the side and constrict the flow till it breaks in.
Also if you place it lower in the tank and point it up it has to work harder to push more water.
were I a hex owner Id put a smaller jet low behind the rock pointing up to make the classic barrel roll and then another on other side to create turbulance. one on each side works great.
