Wavemaker too strong?

Hey everyone
Today i bought 2 snowflake clownfish to my 10 gallon reef. my question is, is my flow too strong for them?
my wavemaker is a nero 3 of AI. its controllable through an app and has various of options. i put it on random mode with fluctuating intensity of 20% to 40% But i noticed the clownfish trying to swim towards it and get pushed back by it. is the flow too strong? or is that normal?

haha lol, thanks. cause i read somewhere that someone said if theyre trying to swim against the current and cant do it then it means my wavemaker is too storng

Not to jump on your thread, but I have a question about your wavemaker. I have a ten gallon and i'm struggling because I bought the smallest wave maker, I could find which is a three watt generic j p l and the flow is way too strong in my tank.How adjustable is that neuro 3?

I think you will enjoy it. its super adjustable, you can choose intensity from 1% to 100% and create your own schedule for the wavemaker in the app

It’s normal for them to play in the flow. A Nero 3 at 40% in a 10g must really get things moving. Do you have a sandbed? Is it being disturbed?

You could always just turn it down and see how things go.

I had a 12 gallon with a nero 3 and had it set at 35% random. It worked fine, I had torches, zoas with a blenny and 2 clown fish with no problems.

What %s was it random between? If it’s a big range it may only be at 35% for a small part of the day.
