Wavy purple stuff

I need some help identifying what this wavy purple stuff is called. I bought it a few months back, and it has grown so quickly. I wanted to do some research on how to frag it, but not sure what it's called.

If your talking about coral in middle of pick I'm almost sure is wood polyps. If they are be careful because they will grow really fast and can take over your tank

Yea do yourself a favor and put the piece on a rock in your sanded that's not touching other rocks cause what dude said earlier....it will take over your entire rocks cape and choke out everything else. I made that mistake with some African blue xenia, had to ditch several rocks as a result

Thanks for the input all, I've moved it and created a new home, cut it back a bit as well.
