They're a little smaller than I'd thought they'd be for spawning if that is what they're doing... Both about 1.5-2" respectively. I never really noticed them building a nest or hosting anything either as theyre just kinda all over the tank. At night they just sleep in a corner in the front of the tank.
Alas, the male dances for the female, the female is really fat, and she chases him around/nips him a bit. I originally thought their bond was kinda breaking because of this but it has come to my attention that this is a sign that she wants to spawn. I'm just feeding them cobalt flakes twice a day. Obviously the male isn't that fat. Anything I can do to accommodate them? I don't have the means to raise fry right now but I just don't want her to become egg bound or something.
Side note, as for the wc thing, they're not exactly what I was expecting in terms of wc, and I'm still not 100% sure if they even are, but they certainly look like it.
