Ok everyone, be nice. šŸ˜‰

Patty and I LOVE,...Clown Triggers. We had a baby way back in 1996 in a 75g. reef and he never touched any soft corals, but we did not have any sps's.

His name is Bubba Joe. He grew from a 2.5" baby to a 12" big buddy in our 200g we mainly bought for him. lol
But sadly, he got glaucoma and stopped eating, resulting in me putting him down, then burring him in our garden pond.

We've retired a few times since then because of my bad health, and now we're back into this beautiful hobby. Yeah !
This will be a in-wall 125g in the living room with a 3rd bedroom we've never used, so all of the equipment will be hidden.

So, the big question is, can we house a Clown Trigger in a mostly LPS/softy tank, and when is matures I'll try,...maybe, a few of the easier SPS corals.
I wish I had the funds for FOWLER tank, like another 200g but I don't. 🄹 Having both would be a real dream come true, before I pass away. This tank will be my last.

You’ll probably hear some different opinions, experiences on this, but will give you my first hand. I put a baby clown trigger into my SPS heavy reef tank, and did not have a single issue. After 3 months, I upgraded tanks and the trigger went into the larger tank, of which I have started building a mixed reef. I have gorgs, Euphyllia, and SPS. He has not touched those in 3 months.

As said, you will hear a lot of ā€œevery fish is differentā€, and ā€œit can change on a dimeā€. Both of these are true, but I was in your boat, wanting both worlds.

My dogface puffer I just added, however, not so lucky! He loves SPS….
