Today for the first time I see what appears to be a bruise on our clown fish. This mark can be seen on both sides of the fish & I presume that whatever it is is located in the entire abdomen. He did not look like this yesterday.
We got this fish as a baby 3 years + ago & it has been healthy the entire time. This is in a 125g FOWLER that is shared with starfish, RBTAs, Nazerius snails & 4 other fish. The Yellow Tang has been in the tank for 10 yrs. The newer tank mates from about 6 weeks ago are a Hippo Tang, Fox Face & Diamond Gobi. The big fish seem healthy. The Gobi is thin but active. Both the Gobi & the Hippo Tang came from a very neglected tank that was being broken down. The Gobi is much more active than it originally was but never really gained much weight. Not really sure if any of that is relevant. I am hoping that the clown got banged into really hard but have never seen anything like this.
The clown is pictured. The dark but not black area in the middle band is what I am concerned about. I believe that the pink area is just the lighting but not 100% certain either. Thank you for any insight.

The pics are a bit out of focus, but this could be "clownfish bruising" a syndrome from unknown cause(s). I wrote about it here:
