Weird black thing ID?

It’s all slimey and I feel like it’s either a sponge or a type of algae? @ISpeakForTheSeas Any ideas?

I just dipped it really well and took off the bubble algae and injected coral dip into the holes and saw all the worms go running!

Some sponges come in black, but sort of rubbery things with vents could also be tunicates. Does it respond to touch after being left alone for a bit? If so, tunicate, if not, probably sponge.

No! And it kind of falls apart and is gooey I think some kind of sponge.
