My first thought would be early growth of a brown macroalgae like Encephalophycus tuberculatus, Colpomenia sinuosa, or Leathesia marina.

It looks like either Colpomenia sinuosa or Leathesia marina. I’ll do more research tomorrow and see what else I can find!

Or should I just remove it? Don’t mind the extra biodiversity, just don’t want to keep it if it spreads like a plague.

Sorry for the slow response! These sorts of algae are typically very easy to control and tough to come by from what I've seen - I would keep it or offer it to someone who might want it.

I don’t mind it! Just want to make sure it’s not going to GSP or Xenia up my tank! crazy how stuff like this pops up. Definitely growing fairly fast too

Nice to see it's doing well! Yeah, IIRC, it should still just be attached by that one holdfast, so if you ever want to remove it, it should be pretty easy to do so.
