Can anyone tell me what this is in my tank they look like a cluster of blue balls and I have quite a few of them but when you can get a loose one out of the tank they are a green colour and see through took one outside and popped it and little bit of liquid came out any ideas thank you

+1 to bubble algae, do not pop them in the tank or your problem will get really big, quick! I have always had good luck with emerald crabs taking care of it.

When you tap it with tweezers in the tank they seem hard and when you find a loose one and get it out they are soft and squishy

Another vote for bubble algae. If so, get it out of there. It can become a problem pretty quickly if ignored. While pulling it off, keep a siphon going right next to it so anything it releases gets sucked out of your tank immediately.

Bubble algae for sure. It can overtake a system quickly so removal is needed.
I would manualy remove as much as you can. Take out one rock at a time and pick/scrape it off.
Emerald crabs will help once its been reduced.
In my old 45 frag system the algae was heavy. After removing as much as I could I added 10 emerald crabs and never saw it again in 2 years + time frame.
Popping the algae does not cause it to multiply like some think.

Known as Velonia can be challenging to reach each and every one. Best success to it do removal in a container of tank water taking the rock out.
If not possible . . . . Take a small needle and have 3/8 tubing ready and attach to end of tubing with rubber band and pop each one and siphon at same time- You will have removed all spores and foreign material in area.
Had to do this in the past with birdsnest coral and was gone 100%.
Other option is to add pitho crabs or emerald crabs (which I do not trust) which will eat them

Are you sure it won’t multiply in the tank can’t afford for it to get worse truthfully

Are you sure it won’t multiply if I pop it in the tank got quite a bit of it at the moment and the last time I took a rock out I messed it up and it nearly went through the glass

That's a myth that's been around a long time. Think about it. If you add a herbivore like a emerald crab or Foxface to eat it, what do you think they do to it when they take a bite? Yep. It will pop.
