Better idea? It's not that big of an issue as the comparnltment is perfectly sized.

I’ve never had issues with chemicals entering the tank from rubber bands. I used them all the time to attach algea sheets to rocks. You’ll have to change them often.

Making RO/DI water. Any ideas on what to do to speed this along? At this rate, I want to buy water or I may be waiting u til next summer before I have enough water...

It should tell you gallons per hour or per day. You really cant speed it up. Just make sure the pressure going into the unit is correct.

How do you make sure the pressure is right? It's 100 per day so essentially 4 per hour.... I seem to be getting half of that

Haha, git a while to go there. Should have my rock on the 28th, sand the 26th. Plan is a Clown and some biro Spira within a day or 2 of the rock... Thanks for watching

I'll be careful for sure. Small piece of very nice live rock and reef cleaner rock.

The cool thing about the reef cleaners rock is it's free of organics. No organics means you don't have to worry about any decay. If he puts a small piece of actual wet live rock with established bio filter, reef cleaner and Dr Tim's, he probably will never see a cycle as long as he only adds a very small bioload, say a pair of clowns for the first two months. The bio filter in the LR plus the Dr Tim's will be enough to skip cycle the tank, but you can easily overload it.

Was actually gonna do a single clown to keep the bioload very low. I'm very excited to see something swimming but I also want to do this proper.
