Finally got my wellso to eat, but is it normal to have any exposed skeleton underneath it after it balloons up after eating? Worried it might have torn itself off the skeleton? If this is normal, i apologize for freaking out, I don't know a lot about wellsos.

Looks fat and happy to me. I don't see any skeleton showing. What is the white stuff on top? Looks more like a Trachyphyllia geoffroyi or radiata to me.

Sometimes the flesh pulls tight against the skeleton. I don't see any tear...maybe he just needs to loosen his belt after a big meal :)

Oh OK, that section underneath him towards the left side, where the blue flesh ends kind of looks like a skeleton to me. Is it not?

It is, but it's not bare skeleton. The flesh has just pulled tight against the skeleton, but like when he deflates at night.

Ah OK, that makes sense. Thank you so much for clearing that up, I was just puzzled and kind of worried it tore something. That's very interesting. I'm learning more about them all the time. Thank you, and thanks for the complement! It's a nice piece! What pieces do you have?

No problem. Honestly, it's a great looking coral...healthy and fat!
