man sucks to to hear I’ve heard rare occasions where the probes malfunctioned but it’s a first hearing the whole unit won’t turn on. I have the double probe WiFi model and it has been running smoothly for a year and a half now

Thats the same one I had. I had a nicrew digital 100 watt heater on it, but the heater is working fine now. What heaters do you use and do you have a back up fail safe heater not connected to inkbird

I have it connected to a Eheim Jagger (highly recommend). I don’t have a second heater not connected to an INKBIRD. The lowest my house is around 72-73. And if I get that notification of any failure under 76 the INKBIRD or heater, I have spare heaters I can throw in.

I looked into the eheims, but they’re way too long for the back portion of my all-in-one 20 gallon

The Wi-Fi model is the one that failed for me

What exactly happened? When plugged into a live outlet, no lights at all?

I’ve not had a problem with the six I have, but it’s only been a few months.

I have each one redundant so it takes two failures for heat to stick on. Heat off is not a big deal in my size tank as it will fall slowly and the others will alert me high or low.

Totally dead. Wouldnt power on at all. Where did you get yours?
I got all mine from Amazon. I have 4 wifi types and two non wifi. Mine are the heating and cooling types.

Monitoring them remotely is important to me.

Came down and the whole ink bird unit was off. Nothing else off. Only had the one heater

Just to be sure, plug something else into that same outlet, unless something already is that is clearly on.

I allow notifications from InkBird 24-7-365 as this allows me to take action. The audio alarm should easily wake you up.

You can get upper alarms or lower alarms or else E5 system error which turns off the InkBird power.

If you got a warning, what does the chart show just before the problem.

If it went offline, that sounds more like a 2.4ghz connection problem rather than InkBird.

But that doesnt entirely explain why when J plug it in, it was completely dead, didnt turn on at all.
