As for the white blob, I can’t pull it apart without tearing up the zoas. I’ll cut some with scissors.

Its definitely not a nematode Ive never seen that before but thats a really good pic somebody will identify it. My guess seeing that pic is a macro algae of some sort a fw dip may be the best course of action. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Here is the blob. It wasn’t as hard as I thought, when I grabbed it to cut, it tore away.

due to the way it looked I took a top and bottom photo of it.

Also the blob didn’t care I was tearing it. Didn’t move at all. Kinda fleshy.

No you helped a lot. Ruling stuff out is 1/2 the battle.

Thank you.

Update:

so I didn’t do anything til today in hopes it just goes away... that didn’t happen.

I dipped it in hydrogen peroxide for 4 minutes. The white stuff that had the texture of spaghetti, after the drip turned into rock hard spikes. Was crackling when I picked up the plug because pieces were breaking off...

I really hope I killed it..

Pics very blue and fuzzy to tell but may be filaments or even poriferan sponge

Here is a close up.
Poriferan sponge. You can take frag out and place in a cup of tank water and remove with tweezers or a dental pick.

You awesome! Thank you! You have no idea how relieved I am that this isn’t some invasive pest that’s going to take over my tank. I almost just tossed the frag all together.

I really appreciate all your advice! Man you always came through for me. Since I started this hobby.
