I've got 3 that haven't spread or moved in years. Not aiptasia. Kill it or leave it. Either way is OK. IMO!IMO?
This snail you speak of is hard and seems like some type of branch coming off the coral itself.Some type of anemone at the base, probably an aiptasia. Above it, however, is a vermetid snail, which you’ll also want to remove.
