You definitely need to check your CA and ALK levels since you haven’t checked them. I understand that you’re doing water changes routinely so some of these key supplements are getting replenished, but knowing you’re parameters and their consumption rate is key to maintaining healthy corals.

I don't have a reactor either. I don't have a sump on my tank. All I have is a HOB protein skimmer and a lot of people say that's not necessary. Do smaller, more frequent water changes and maybe give him some reef roids or some other kind of coral food. And hope for the best imo.

Be careful with that salt. The alk mixes at 11.5-12dKH and with your tank sitting at 8.4, doing a large water change could be the problem what the heck your coral. I would suggest ding smaller water changes every week until you run out, and but the blue bucket. It mixes to 8.0dKH, which is a much safer level.

I had the same exact problem , I was using that same coral pro salt also , switched back to reef crystals by instant ocean and slowly things got better , but on the other hand I've also lost my torch to the way I handled it in the tank , they are extremely delicate like any other coral, one day while doing matinance I pinched the flesh against the skeleton which was very sharp causing the flesh to rip, it was very tiny, but as the days went by the coral got an infection and rotted away like in your picture , I lost the whole colony it sucked you live and you learn. Don't get discouraged if you loose it though , try again. Here is my torch garden , everyone is closed up ,it's night time.
