My salt water tank is new, about 4 months old now. It contains only live sand, live rock, green mac. 1 month ago, I introduced 2 Mexican Turbo Snails. Today, I noticed dots on the glass walls and rocks. The dots are about the size of a grain of sand. Do I have a problem and what shall I do?

Pictures under white lighting will be very helpful but suspicion is Spirobid worms which filter feed off algaes.
Does it look like these?

Welcome! Like mentioned above, pictures help. There is also a thread somewhere that lists the most common "critters" we find in our tanks. @Erin1971Texas probably has it on speed dial? Also, more information can be helpful. Do the dots move or are they stationary?

Here is the aforementioned thread... https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/what-is-that-a-r2r-guide-to-common-new-tank-hitchhikers.443382/

@Sherrie , welcome!
As for what the "dots" are, without a photo it's impossible to guess, but I suspect they'll turn out to be a normal "bloom" of critters that occur in most new tanks.
