What Alk tester?

I’m torn between GHL KH director and Alkatronic.
I already am using the GHL Profilux 4 controller so adding the KH director should be a no brainer. So why am I considering the Alkatronic? Because 2 nearby fellow reefers are using the Alkatronic. So having nearby fellow reefers using similar equipment is nice. We can all share info and collaborate. If I go with the GHL my resource of fellow users is only online.

I am honestly on the wall 50/50.

Theory of operation of both of them is the same. KHD would integrate into your GHL with alerts, though that isn't to say that the Alkatronic wouldn't also provide alerts.


My advice? Wait until after MACNA in case Focustronic releases/announces their next auto testing product. We should also find out the price of the ION director from GHL then too so you can better move to a testing ecosystem.

Yea, it’s probably best to wait. I don’t need anything right at the moment. So waiting is easy for the moment.
