With the limited space and micro fauna in a nano tank (I have a 25g peninsula), I realize that some sand sifting inverts would not likely have enough food to thrive. So I'm wondering what recommendations would you have for inverts that will sift a sand bed in a nano tank?

I'll start with one I thought of.

Nassarius snails

I'm thinking about getting a couple of these, but I'd honestly prefer something like a sea cucumber, but I'm doubtful it would get enough food. Thoughts?

i believe it depends on what you have in the tank already. if you have a pistol shrimp for example, he will drag nasarius snails and conches to his den and kill them. I have a tiger cucumber but it sits in one place in my tank and feeds where it lays,,, very strange..

diamond goby is another option, but again, that all depends on what you have in the tank as far as compatibility.

I don't have anything in there yet, but I'm planning to get a pistol shrimp, so it sounds like the snails/conch idea is out.
