I usually just go to the LFS and pick what I like but i'm getting to the point where i'm running out of room and need to be more selective. What are some acros that you guys feel like are must haves? At the moment I have frags of Strawberry Shortcake, ASD Rainbow Mille, PC Rainbow, Pink Lady, JF Fox Flame, Green Slimer, Maleficent, Pink Mille and Oregon Tort

No one has answered because the truth is that once you have one you will want to have them all!

Also, I can never remember which Pink Floyd or Pink Cadillac is the pink RR coral that I have always enjoyed looking at?

Pro tip. Grow out the ones you have and then trade with others for the ones they have that you want. As mentioned before, the wanting never ends, ime.

Oh, and your list looks very nice.

Will definitely be growing and trading but they take so long to grow I want to fill out my tank a bit more. RRC Pink Cadillac is actually one i've been looking at for a while.. I've seen large colonies where it looks great but ever frag i've ever seen in person hasn't had the same bright color pop

My fav that I have personally had success with is probably Walt Disney
That's a grail for sure, not sure if i'm confident enough to spend that much just yet though haha

I can't seem to keep them alive! I have tried a couple.

I like the originals, red plants, pearl berry, OG Oregon Tort... but the new ones with all the colors are pretty insane, so I'm in the same boat, want them all!!!

There are a few at my LFS that I really like but are sooo pricey... Angry Birds, BC Angelica, Lucky Charms and JF Jolt

I've owned most the pieces you currently have and I'd say you have a pretty good mix. Color, you're missing a truly yellow piece - as mentioned above- if you can find a real Pink Floyd, that's hard to beat. On a budget, a real pink lemonade is incredible but similar structure to your SSC acropora.
Pink Floyd, somehwat smooth skin appearance and Yellow with red polyps. Slow grower for me.
As far as growth structure/polyp type (sorry not very techincal ;) ) you're missing something with a long flowy center polyp. Vivid confetti/Silly String/CC Voodoo Magic type coral.
Granulosa are awesome smooth skin type acropora, when happy that have a great polyp to them too.
Tenuis - The ultimate tenuis for day and night is Sexy Corals Orange Passion, a kind of a daywalker tenuis but that's just my opinion.

The whiter your light spectrum the more you'll gravitate towards Blues/Purples/Yellows in my experience.
If you want to recoup your cost by fragging down the road then lineage comes into play. Otherwise shop structure, specailly at a LFS. Colors tend to change once truly aquacultured.

That PC Rainbow is beautiful but grows very fast. Mine like to encrust too so give that one some space. Strawberry Shorcake SCC can be the same. Really likes to lay out a footprint then shoots up and makes a nice table.

I would start chasing older strains that aren't in many tanks anymore. There are some nice ones. Lime In the Sky, pajama party, West Side Tort, TSA candle light ect. Barrier Reef in Renton WA stocks some older stuff and ships

Confession is good to keep a man's soul unburdened, and that is not all your priest told me. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Truth is I also like the old school originals, I grieve many of the ones I lost to AEFW. Lots of them had no names, same as the secret locations they were harvested from.

Agreed. Also strongly support folks buying stuff they enjoy just to keep the gene clone pool diverse.
In this I support the Pope, Every frag is sacred.

Dang, I'm streaming on the Reef Doctor channel.:thinking-face:
Happy Brithday Louis

Can't say I told anyone it's your Birthday.

I enjoy my tricolor valida. I think it's pretty even in "normal" light. And my toxic green frogskin - very pretty shape and color in all light. The rest I have kinda looks the same :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
