What are these weird sponge looking things in my sump?

Was doing maintenance and saw some new life in my sump I’m not familiar with. Not in the display yet, but starting to spread below!

anyone have an idea what they are and if they’re good/bad or just ugly?

They are the white spots with a single tube growing out from them.

Pics are way to pink/red to actually see any definition. Try getting better pics under white lights for better help.

Here’s a daytime pic - it looks like it’s anchored and the tube portion may serve as a feeding mechanism?

Those are sponges - harmless filter feeders.

Clatharina sponges which will grow and branch off. While harmless can end up in pump intakes, etc.
For removal- Edge of an old credit card or similar will work. Net them and discard as you scrape off
