so I cut off the frag rock on my leather. I didn’t want to risk it being aptasia or the m one

Might be a type of Aptasia not the plaque glass anemone. Might want to remove but I’ve got lots of wild anemones and haven’t been too worried about that one. Other peeps like MonkeyC that know a lot more than me.

Next time you think you have a single aptasia or majano, try completely covering it up with superglue or epoxy. The bad this about cutting them off the rock is they will release planulae into the water column and wherever they settle they will become more anemones. Welcome to reef keeping where we try to keep animals that are amazingly difficult to have thrive whereas the pests seem to be indestructible like the terminator and “they’ll be back”. By the way that does look like a spoinoid worm in the last picture. If seen a couple through the years in my tanks but they’ve never been a problem for me, but remember what’s good for jack may not be good for Jill.

I cut it outside of the tank and rinsed it in clean water after. Hopefully that helps. Thanks for you help!
