I am wondering what you are running in your media baskets

seeing what all options are out there I am considering a Media Reactor - Innovative Marine for charcoal and this would free up a spot I am using

From what I understand, charcoal isn't a good idea to run all the time. Only for a short period when you're having a problem.

I used to run gfo in a 2 little fishes reactor. I switched,got into growing sps now. I put active carbon in the reactor now. Change every 2 to 3 weeks I like it alot pulls that nasty yellow tint out of the water also

IM media basket has a sponge in the middle of it . That's it . Carbon n GFo are in bags in different filter areas with my IM40 Fusion .

I run my active carbon 24/7. I love the stuff I used to run gfo but it left the water a yellow tint.

What is GFO?

Granular Ferric Oxide, it's good for removing phosphates

In my IM 20 I run filter floss in the top shelf, chemi-pure blue in the middle. Nothing in the bottom shelves yet. Have a reactor with biopellets in one of the chambers.
