What controller's do you guys recommend

Hey Guys,

I've been looking at the different controllers and all of the add ons, but can't figure out what I really need for my system. Also, what would be a good price and should I buy new or used. There's the Neptune AC Jr, Apex, Reefkeeper Elite/lite, and I'm sure there's more. What's better and I'm looking to spend around $300-$400.
