Candy cane coral. A branching type of LPS. Forms nice looking spherical colonies. Looks like it is splitting into three separate heads. Means it is happy.

I actually thinks it’s a symphyllia. I doubt it’s a candy cane, it’s too big. It’s not a trachy as those tend to stay more of a figure 8 shape. Which leaves lobo or symphyllia.

I agree. Too big for a candy cane. Looks like a Lobo to me but I'm no expert.

Since there is nothing in the image to offer a sense of scale, I can't tell if it is very large or not. I considered lobophyllia, but the texture and coloring isn't very similar to the lobophyllia species. Symphyllia and trachyphyllia kinda fall into the same boat as lobos with symphyllia being a somewhat close option. Without seeing the skeleton, hard to know.

My reason for candy cane is due to the color combination, skin texture, and the fact the polyp seems to be suspended up like a typical candy cane coral. There is also the relative ease of procuring candy cane coral over the other options. As you can see in this image from google, the candy cane coral can have odd shaped heads when the coral is splitting.

I'm agreeing with candy cane, calaustrea furcata. It appears to be splitting another head. We have a neon candy cane and it's surprising how big a head can get.

Here's a photo for reference as well. These heads are as big as my thumb. Plus the skeletal structure underneath the polyps flesh has me ID it as a candy cane.

Thanks, I was trying to figure out what it is called. I think I like it more than the neon green version.
