What corals do you enjoy?

Hey everyone!

I love hearing other peoples opinions on what corals they enjoy in their tank to give me ideas of what I think would look good. What corals do you enjoy and what corals do you think would look nice in this tank. (I’m in the middle of cleaning my glass coming back from vacation) it’s a 90 g tank :)

Coral specific gardens are always nice. Acans, torches, etc. I think sps or something to give height would look nice on the top rock.

Honestly after having tried many different corals, the ones I enjoy most are the ones that thrive with the least attention. for me that means:

• Green star polyps (ISOLATED ON THEIR OWN ROCK). They're so bright, fluffy and flowy when they are healthy.
• Montipora, specifically reverse superman variety. The dark but deep colored base with the pops of bright color on the polyps is entrancing to me. They thrive in low to medium lighting.
• Zoas!
• Not a coral, but I really love bubbletip anemones. a lot of folks don't like them because they grow and split aggressively when healthy, but I love that about them.

I love tanks jam packed with SPS colonies and clear sandbeds.

Acropora wall to wall on the medium/high spots and montis, stylos, birdsnests in the lower areas.

I like a mixture of all. They have their nish, but anything high-end and hard to find - count me in lol SPS - LPS - Softies...

Don’t worry about what other people like. Get the corals you like and don’t listen to others preferences (apart from husbandry of course). If you like them then they are good !

Stags are my favorite. 6 in my current 150. Grown from the bottom in the back they are comming along nicely at 2 years.

I like a little of everything that will not die.

I moved out of that tank last night and peeled sheets of GSP off and put it in the bottom of the tank below hoping it will start to cover the bottom. No pics yet .Off topic but there were thousands of pods hiding in the GSP even though the polyps were retracted.

I like my sticks but I also like movement. The GSP added that to the SPS tank above.

PS: I've found that some coral just will not do well in some tanks. When I run into that I'll try a couple and if they die I just move on. I find it much more pleasurable to watch what does thrive vs pulling my hair out trying to figure out why certain ones fail for no obvious reason. Problem solving is not something I enjoy. Example I've been in over 10 years and can't keep a euphylia alive.

I love euphyllia gardens, the colors, movement etc.

I like all types of corals, I get greedy when I see some nice examples of a certain type and become crazy for it.
