Revive or coral RX may be a simpler way. Both kills bugs and helps remove possible infection or fungus.

Can you get a picture with white light?

Look into a declorinator. And on a bugdet or a small tank to buddy is an inexpensive system.

I suffered a bad water prob from my trusted fish store a long time ago. I'll just say it was awful.

The tap water where I live will even kill gold fish.

Could I use rodi with coral rx ?
It's easier.
You use tank water.
Put some in a cup with the RX and swish it around and then rinse in another cup of fresh tank water.
Top off the tank with new salt water.

You'll have to follow the directions and dilute the RX correctly. But it's not bad if it's a little strong.

nothing came off in the dip. But the polyps were so soft they fell off so assuming those we dead already.
