What do I have

I friend of mine has thrown in the towel with his nano tank and I have inherited some of the stufff. I have his live rock and a few pieces of coral. He was not sure what it all is but it looks like a leather of some type and the rest I need help with. They were really overgrown with algae but my tangs have cleaned them up fairly well now I would like to get a better understand of what I have so I can place them in the right spot in my tank.

The first picture looks like a piece I have that I was told are star polyps...not sure on all the others though. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will help you out.
