I have a similar thread over in the LPS forum.

What if anything do you feed your SPS. I have 10 new acro frags and a couple of monti's. I was wondering do most people feed or add some thing extra. Acropower for example?

Or do you just focus on keeping your parameters stable?

I use Redsea Energy A and B. I feed these twice a wk

The high fish load is what I want to get to, but right now I only have 3 fish in the tank.

I never directly feed the sps. I will feed the tank frozen cyclops, mullet roe, etc every couple of days for whatever decides to eat it.

I feed them all sorts of things. Vinegar from carbon dosing, acropower and direct foods too with my favorite being fresh hatched baby brine shrimp, but I also feed coral frenzy, oyster fest, doc's egg brew and a host of others I am forgetting right now!

No this isn't for acros, but there is plenty of research out there about how much feeding food of the correct size for consumption greatly increases growth.

My sps (along with all other corals/ filter feeders) get 'phytoplex' 3x per week and 'fuel' 2x per week along with adequate light and high flow [emoji4] I keep my nutrients undetectable and these really make 'em happy

What ever they can scavenge from fish feedings is all they get in my aquarium.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to look into 'phytoplex' and 'fuel'. I wanted to supplement something until I can get my fish count up. I'm very particular about adding fish & coral, so adding fish is slow going.
