Right now ... I have approximately 5" of sand ... 30+ mangroves ... some 2+ feet tall and some chaeto thrown in there as well. I think I may have a few small pieces of rock in there.

I am about to put in my 150 (Quesionmarc's 150 actually ) ... I am planning on putting a deeper sand bed in the new fuge 8"+ ... plus the fuge will be twice as big as my current one.

Awesome ... yeah ... 8+" ... Tomtoothdoc (MR) has a pretty deep sand bed in his custom 55G fuge ... It was probably 10-12" or so ...

all the nasty critters that do not get along in the display reside in the sump fuge, along with some live oysters from the fish market, some dead coral heads, that xenia that alway does so well and gets pruned and chunked in there, misc snails, bristle worms, mean star fish the sump fuge is something that my meanest step child will not stick there hand in, lol
