Woo boo, I got the rock in, filled the tank, added the Dr.Toms after a day of running, then added 80 lbs of live sand. Waiting for the fog to clear in the tank today so I can even it all out and move onto the next step.
Oh, and the new Nyos Quantum 120 skimmer arrives today. Gotta love these new tank builds.

Ok what's happening this week?
This week I continue trying to trap 4 firefish, powder brown tang, solorensis wrasse, royal gramma and a high fin goby. My buddy used to work for Alaska Fisheries and tells me stories about the ghost buster backpacks they used to stun and count fish in lakes... This sounds very appealing at this point.

I just picked up a used booster pump for my RO/DI system, I now have 82 PSI.
Still watching the initial cycle in my brute can, all is well so far.
I also hooked up the apex to the brute can trying to minimize any possible issues while I'm away from home.

Refilling my ato reservoir (do they come in a size larger than 10gal?), switching and laundering filter socks, and waiting for the blue star leopard wrasse I added on Saturday to make an appearance.

FINALLY hooked up my dosing pump and made a kalk reservoir last week, first dosing week went well, going to mix up another 1 gallon batch and do another week run. Also bought some Magnesium supplement yesterday so going to start fiddling with that as well.

Hey!
My Red Sea E-260 has been up and running since Dec 21st and I have been doing weekly water changes to keep ahead of the inevitable, dreaded brown diatoms! So, 3 weeks ago I started up my doser, (Jebao DP-4) and am dosing 200ml of Aquaforest Component 1-2-3 every 3 days. Did testing last night, (love those Hanna checkers!), and my Ca was 466, Alk 9.4 and Magnesium 1525.
I'm doing a mixed reef, softies, LPS and trying hand at SPS. I have a beautiful Pink Millipora that's pretty happy, his polyps are out all the time and I'm seeing new growth. This pic is from last week. Still putting corals!! Wife not happy about me getting the new corals! IMG_20190303_2129258.jpg
