You need to go with the @Randy Holmes-Farley new and improved magnesium method.

Spoiler- who cares about magnesium!!!! Throw your test kit away!!!!
Thanks, it caught my eye when he first posted it. I did read it. I just feel, maybe it is in my head, that my torches, frogspawn and hammers look and do better with magnesium at 1400 or a little higher.

For me all the focus on cool gear and difficult corals are in truth because I am an extremely competitive person. It's my greatest strength and weakness at the same time. The competition is not really with others by showing off or being cool, but with myself.
I am just the opposite and not a competitive person at all. If you wanted to play a game with me and I really didn't care about it, I would just say: "OK, you win" and go and play with my fish, bake bread or look at my feet.

To me reefing is easy because I make it easy by not doing anything hard.
Right now I am watching a show I don't want to watch because the remote fell on the floor. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

For me it is leaving things alone. In the past 20 years of reefing I have had 5 different tanks and all the tanks have been moved at least once in that time. My reef would have been much better off if I would just leave it be and let it grow. It's something I fight with but I know I need to do it.

Routine maintenance/management of my tank. WC are a big part of my long term success, if I miss wc/pump cleaning/algae siphoning, my tank looks like crap. Some corals suffer, while others don't care.
