A few friends and me took to the swamps in search of a Louisiana Delicacy. We launched the boat at about 9:45pm, and were back home by 3:30am the next morning. This is what we caught.

Great, now im friggin hungry for some frog legs and theres no place to go get some by me unless I find someone with a boat to take me out the the glades

Man, I haven't done that since I was a kid... Thanks for bringing back memories! (and making me hungry!)

Good to see you guys still have bullfrogs/green frogs. I haven't seen or heard one yet this year on the river banks or pay lakes and they used to be everywhere. My wife used to get mad having to talk loudly to talk over them while fishing, now she keeps asking why it's so quiet.

Bummer! Nothing better at night than the sound of bullfrogs

Dang Thats cool !! I used to go frogin when I was a kid until about 13 yo. We had so much fun. My grand mother would fry them up and we usualty had the with Black eye peas and Home made Biscuits Um Um Make me wanna go right now :D

Ahh man that look great I had some really good ones when I was in Clearwater but they were no where near that meaty.

Many years ago - when I was about eight, I discovered a pond near home chock full of bull-frogs.
I spent the day catching as many as I could. I darn near filled a pillow case with them.
Proud of my catch - I took them home to show my mom. My dad, having grown up in the hills of North Carolina during the depression didn't see the pet aspect of things - he saw dinner.

My brother, two sisters and I sat mortified in the living room watching TV to the alternating sound of the electric knife and the garbage disposal.

When dinner finally arrived - we stared in silence at the miniature drumsticks on our plate.
Sensing our distress, our mom bravely lifted a frog leg and took a bite. Se smiled at us and told us how wonderful they were and how they reminded her of delicious fried chicken only better. We weren't buying it and our lack of appetite was clearly irritating my father. A uneasy quiet settled over the table.

Minutes of absolute silence ensued - no one was talking - you could have head a pin drop from fifty feet away. When from the dark recesses of the kitchen garbage disposal, there came a distinct sound. As clear as a warm summer night.

-RIBIT-

My sisters started crying - my brother started crying - my mom started crying - I started crying.
My father said nothing - he simply sat and woofed down frog leg after frog leg.

I sure they're good - but honestly - I wouldn't know.

On the one hand, that looks delish. On the other hand, those frogs are so **** cute!

Only way I could eat this is by not seeing their sad little eyes first... but I would totally eat it.

Not a frog eater, but it looks like you did a real nice job..
