What is a good cheap light for a 15gal reef tank

Depends on what you want in the tank. Fish need any old light. Plants need grow light. Coral require a fuller spectrum light

I have used it on a 10 gallon tank. It grew corals pretty well. I bought it when setting up my nano after watching inappropriate reefers videos on his budget nano build. I think one of the lights would be perfect for your set up. I also used an amazon smart plug to automatically turn the lights on and off so i would not accidentally change the light settings as the channel buttons are used as power buttons as well.

For about 100 bucks to cover 15x15 for LPS, I would look at the Nicrew 50 watt pendant on amazon or the Noopsyche K7 mini. I have not used either.

Okay thank you! That’s pretty smart to use the smart switch. I would haven’t thought of that.
