Hey guys, I noticed that my salinity was around 1.028 or so (hard to tell with the refractometer), possibly higher. I've recently tried to gradually lower it prior to my water change, but does this sound like the cause for the chalice developing much more pronounced white stripes? It was also directly in the light at the bottom of the tank, and moved it back to where it is now, slightly more shaded just in case. What do you guys think? It acts healthy otherwise with tentacle extension at night as well as a good eating response.

It looks like its in the shade. Maybe move it a little into the light.
So, it was in the light for 2 weeks and got lighter, when it was previously in the shade. Given that it's been getting lighter, I figured I should put it where it was originally happy, in the shade.

Do the lines look too light to you guys as well?

As per being favia or a chalice, AquaSD claimed it was a chalice.
