Some sort of algae growing on my green star polyps I think. Is this red cyano?

It was coated when I receive the frag a month ago. It was low flow in my tank. I just moved the tank and it's in a bit higher flow now. If I move to more direct flow to attempt to blow it off, will it spread it?

Is it slime? Cyano is. If it has texture it probably isn't.

Yea it won't hurt to blow off the cyano. Just make sure it is.

Looks sort of slimy I suppose. Strings of it seem it whisp in the flow where it is now. I'll try to put more flow on it after work tonight. Thanks for the responses! I'll update if it blows off.

Should I see it blow off? Or will the flow eventually kill it. Just curious when I would see results if any.

The cyano should blow of completely.
You should see the skin of the coral.

If you haven done anything yet you could pull a cup of tank water and swish the coral around in it till it's clean.

It should come off completely
