i am new to the hobby and While cleaning my tank i noticed a bunch of things that looked like they were coming from the rock work. I used twisters and touched one and found whatever it is to be stony, or at least solid, it’s not a soft tissue any ideas as to what it is or could be.

From what I can see, possibly vermetids, possibly feather dusters, and possibly spionid worms.

If the tubes corkscrew at the base (i.e. if they spiral out in a little circle from the base), I’d guess vermetids. If they send out a mucus net, they’re vermetids; if they send out a little feather duster crown, they’re feather dusters; if they stick out two little tentacles (palps) they’re spionid worms. You may have more then just one kind of critter here.

looks like Verminted Snails, they spew a musus net and are harmful to corals that are nearby. You can starve them out by sealing the top with super glue. but don't do too many at a time or you might get a nutrient spike.
