Vibrant didn't touch it after 4wks dosing 6ml 2x weekly. Clean it off and within a week it's completely covered again. But only on the back wall where it's painted black. It's brown not green. Comes off very easily.
It has to be a lighting issue no?

My last dose of Vibrant was on 12/12 so yesterday. Which made it a full 4wks dosing.
My SB has all but cleared up. At least the thicker patches have lessened. It definitely looks better than what it did. Still some areas persist.
Don't believe this to be due to Vibrant as it was present before I started dosing it.
My NO3 test at 2.5 and PO4 undetectable both via Salifert.
I'm running a Radion Gen3 no red/green, blues/UV 100% max and whites 10% max.

4 weeks seems pretty short for some of their "tougher" algae reccomendations.
@UWC was talking to me this morning about it

I have been dosing vibrant twice a week for a couple months (maybe a little longer) or so.
I still get that brownish film on my side glass(s).

Do you run GFO? I just assumed that's what it was in my tank.

glad that cleared the sand for you finally.

they speak in marketing vagaries unfortunately.(not a knock just a truth) Cyano has been an odd side effect in some cases. without knowing what its actually attacking Ie plant material or as an oxidiser etc it makes it hard to say what it will kill, and why it takes longer for some organisims.
so when we see something it is not actively killing is good data. so literally dissolving bryo and hair, but not some cyano this is soooo interesting.

And yea Ill be adding this to my coral qt very likely, or if i had a frag tank id def try it.;)

Im still reading but I dont believe theres been a thing like this before.

I do not use GFO or any other type of filtration substance. Skimmer, sock and bi-weekly 5g WC. Had to remove my Chaeto as it was dying from Vibrant for sure.
I've only got 3 lil fish, fed 1x a day. I dose BRS 2prt 3x daily via doser.
Upon closer inspection my SB does look 95% better than what it did. [emoji2]

This substance on the back wall once covered my power heads also. I've noticed they've completely cleared up. It's craziness going on in there!! [emoji38][emoji38]
