This cocoon type thing has been growing (being built)in my fuge for about two weeks. Today, I noticed all the black dots within it. They are not moving, so I am assuming they are perhaps eggs? Overall it is about 3.5 inches tall and the main channel is .25-.5 inches wide.
This fuge has been up and running for a few years and haven't added anything to the system for months.
Not that I an worried what it/they are, but more curious.

It’s a bristle worm condo. A very “upscale” one too. Probably gentrified all the pods away to the bowels of the fuge too

Okay, seriously, it looks to me like maybe some sort of pod made it on with you macro algae. Is it growing pretty fast? Maybe a sort of brackish water tree or mangrove?

Does not look like any sponge I’ve ever seen in an aquarium or in the sea.

A couple weeks to a month tops. The black dots are what struck my interest. I will keep an eye on it and see what develops.
