It probably caught something to eat. Any time I feed mine, they close up like this to eat the food.
Another option could be it’s moving. It could be starting its walk to its new home. They will pick out the spot they like the best. And that spot could very well change. Doesn’t appear to be sick from the photo.

Do you happen to have any slow swimming fish? Or fish that hop around instead of swimming? I’d check to make sure you still have all your fish. I think it just caught some food

Why would that be highly unlikely? Anemone are known to eat a wide variety of food. Mine eat 3 ghost shrimp a week. All it takes is one wrong move by a fish or shrimp and that anemone can grab them

I would keep an eye out for it. Anemone are known to gobble up anything unfortunate enough to get caught. Do you have any pictures today? Did it open back up with your lights?

Mine will do this every once in a while. Either it is eating something, or it is expelling waste.Why is my nem turned inside out ?
It was fine all day. Nice and full and bubbly. Now it’s doing this.

Monday Thursday and Sunday it gets offered a live ghost shrimp. And it never fails to take it and eat it. Keep in mind, mine is probably 8-10” in diameter. Smaller ones probably won’t require as much. But they very much will eat anything they can grab.
