I have a candy cane coral that I got maybe 3 weeks ago. Has been growing and doing fine but I've noticed a hair like algae thing growing at the base of the heads and don't know what it is? Does anyone know? Harmful? Harmless? Good? Bad?

Bryopsis. Try to remove and treat with H2O2 to kill. Clean it out of your tank so no strands will float into your tank and spread it. Major pain to get rid of if it takes hold in your tank:eek:
