I won an action and was sent this little dude as a freebie any help identifying him?

I initially thought Duncan myself. Took a few looks to notice the stalks.

Definitely a goniopora. Thess guys have the reputation of being very hard to keep, and that's not true. Most reeefers don't k ow what they actually need, so they end up slowly receeding and dying.

1. They need food, and lots of it. Phyto, aminos and coral food all work wonders. Don't let them start to starve!!

2. Trace elements. While we are not certain why gonis need trace elements more than other corals, we know they need it. Make sure to dose trace elements!

Obviously make sure to get flow and lighting right, and you should have a happy goni! Good luck! :)

Thank you! Iv got red reef AB+ coral food, he is positioned toward the middle of rock wall, for light I am using AI light schedule from David Saxby. Water flow is mod , my husband put an extra water pump to push water around in the tank I guess to make small currents. Should gonis be on the sand floor or he’s ok in the rock? I have a 60 gal rimless reef tank

They can be on the sand and light ime. Rock is usually better because the sand won't potentially irritate it.
