A little hard to see but it looks like a ball anemone. Harmless hand cool to look at. The reason it didn't get harmed in dip is because it's actually a species of mushroom coral. I have a ton in my tank.
NoAlso.. should I be concerned about it eating any tank mates? I have 2 clownfish, a cardinalfish, azure damselfish, and candy cane pistol shrimp
It won't, they're harmless. Only large orange ones can do harm.Cool! Thanks for the help with ID! How should I go about moving it though as I'm assuming it'll hurt my finger leather with it growing on the bottom of the plug..
It'll be pretty hard to relocate without damaging itThanks again for the assistance, how should I go about removing this from the bottom of the frag plug to relocate?
Best to just leave it? Maybe hope it'll relocate itself? It'll be pretty hard to relocate without damaging it
I don't think ball anemones tend to relocate like btas do.Best to just leave it? Maybe hope it'll relocate itself?
I've seen many away from light in a cave and out showing itself off, they just be there and they are mushroom coral so if it wanted to I could move, of course not as fast as a nem but still it can move like other mushrooms.Best to just leave it? Maybe hope it'll relocate itself?
Ideally I'd rather have it growing on something beside one of my coral bases but if it's difficult to move I guess I'll leave it in hopes it'll move itselfI've seen many away from light in a cave and out showing itself off, they just be there and they are mushroom coral so if it wanted to I could move, of course not as fast as a nem but still it can move like other mushrooms.
