As the title says, what is this? I thought it was a lobo, but looking at pics online I am now not sure. Also, any idea where this should be placed in the tank? I would assume that the polyps should be more extended?

Caulastraea, or more commonly called a candy cane, or trumpet coral.

Looked it up online, you're correct. Does it typically go lower in the tank? Need a lot of light?

I find they typically like medium lighting, and medium to low flow.
