It looks like a large vermetid snail tube, but coming out the entrance of the tube seems to be some kind of coral, colonial hydroid, or "pest" anemone. It's definitely a cnidarian of some sort.

Is the white tube part hard? I think it is some kind of filter feeding worm. Likely harmless.
Yes it was attached to a shell that a hermit crab decided to take so I cut it off the shell and put it on my rock it seems fine, should I remove it ?

If it is a Kenya tree coral, they are aggressive growers and can take over a tank. I don't mind them, and it'd take awhile for one that small to get to that point, but it's something to consider

I suggest that you need better pics and a positive ID before deciding. I sometimes have luck taking a pick with my phone, through a magnifying glass.

It wouldn't. I believe the spawn grew inside a large dead vermentid snail
Ahhhh, very possible. BTW, fellow Ukulele enthusiast here.

@Marlboroman , So look at some Kenya tree pics. If it is that, I would remove. do you have like a pest tank or something? I call mine the "sin bin".

Yeah I think it might be a small Kenya tree inside a tube because when I cut it off the shell it was bone like. And no I don’t have a pest tank haha at least that’s not what I want, just a biocube 32 stocked with paired clowns, tailspot b, Bengali cardinal, Royal gramma. Also got a few mushrooms in there starting my mushroom farm currently, so I definitely don’t want Kenya tree. Thanks !

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
