what is this on my scoly?

Woke up this morning and saw these white curls in the middle of my scoly. Anyone know what they are? Ill obviously dip it in coral rx and RO water, i just would like to know what I'm dealing with if i see it again.

No need to dip, those are mesenterial filaments. Could be a feeding or stress response. Your scoly looks healthy. Occasionally while feeding the tank our scoly would produce them as well.

Looks like minstrel filaments, nothing too serious. They send them out if they feel threatened sometimes. Anything bothering it, or other corals close?

Much appreciated, i just did a regular water change on friday but i had never seen anything like this after a water change. The other possibilities for the stress i can think of are the urchins which go right up to the flesh of the scoly all the time. it is also possible one of my rock flowers could be stinging it. The one on the bottom right has moved around the rfa rock several times in the 3 months since ive had it . ive never seen it touch it but who knows. Will be moving it when I get home.

Honestly I would just monitor for now and not move the coral. The scoly looks really healthy and happy in the spot it's in, I wouldn't risk moving it. If the coral is getting stung then you'd see tissue recession IMO. Mesenterial filaments show from different responses whether it be feeding, stress or battling. Chemistry swings can even cause this.
