What is this on my tomato?

White spot by his eye he had a sore on his head when I got him it kinda looked like a cut guy at LFS said could have damaged it on some live rock it healed up within a week and now he has this on side of his head any ideas

It is most likely a bacteria, because he had a wound when you bought him, that makes him more susceptible to bacteria and parasites.

Is there any thing I need to do or will he get by it on his own

Do you have a QT. if so I would put him in that to observe.

If he was anything like my tom clown he'll survive in the same water that beta fish survive in. For reals though, I had one survive when he was floating upside down gasping for air (MY mistake) and when all the other fish croaked, he make a complete comeback. YMMV, but that's one hardy fish.

Just keep a close eye on him, if it get's worse, get him into a QT/hospital tank.
