It’s blackish colored, soft, squishy, and kept squirting water at me! Above the baby mushroom the circled thing! I removed it and threw it out but I found it during a dip and it kept squirting water at me.

tunicate ? sea squirt ?
 
I thought maybe that too but I couldn’t see an opening and it wasn’t shaped like any I’ve seen! Maybe @ISpeakForTheSeas has an idea?
I *think* I can see two openings on that, but if I can, that's a very well camouflaged tunicate.

Yes! I KNOW! I was like what the heck is squirting on me? WHAT IS THAT?
