Looks like some strange membrane growing on my frogspawn. Seems to have come out of nowhere and obviously bothering it.

Could it be some type of sponge?

What would be the best way to kill it? Take the frogspawn out and expose it to air for a bit?
You really don't need to kill it it's biologically beneficial. It's unlikely to be the reason the frogspawn seems angry, and doing that will make it more angry. If you DO still want to remove it, it should easily scrape off with a razor blade.

The frogspawn seems happy most of the time but just seems like its growing right into it and rubbing on the polyps....

I think I'm just going to watch it for now, but if it gets any worse I may just scrape it off.
